Car Show

Kevin sure loves going to his car shows, this year we joined him along with the Gilmartin's. It was a lot of fun, unfortunately there were several dealers that didn't show up - Nissan being one of them - because of the economy and not wanting to spend the money on car shows. My favorite was the Dodge Journey - a nice crossover that I would get in a second if the money were available :) Kevin's favorite (as always) was the Dodge Viper. Saunder was so cute in his little outfit and was a little sleepy towards the end :) It's somewhat hard to take Bradley places like this now because all he wants to do is be independent and walk around on his own - and it was a little too busy to let him do that. But he was happy when he got to try out some cars with Daddy :)

We stayed a little longer than the babies would have liked and it was a rough ride home. Saunder was hungry and tired and was crying. Bradley would watch him with a worried look on his face, then look at me with pleading eyes - wondering why I wasn't helping his friend. It was really sweet. A couple times Saunder started to calm down and then of course Bradley thought that meant it was his turn - which would get poor Saunder going again. Towards the end of the car ride, Bradley started to plug his ears :) which is something that he's been experimenting with lately - but it was very funny timing :)

Crib

Mr Bradley is starting to like being in his crib more and more. He'll play by himself in there in the morning and after naps and not need us to come in right away. And he's getting more into his stuffed animals. When I was a baby I had a little "lamby" (which I still have) and when I found out I was pregnant Tammy got a new "lamby" for the baby. Bradley loves him, and his giraffe he got for his birthday. He loves to snuggle with them and give them hugs - then throw them over the railing :) It's become a game that we play once he wakes up, it keeps him entertained for quite a while :)

Climbing

Who needs a jungle gym? :) We made a tower out of pillows and Bradley loved going up and down. He really is SO good at backing down off of things instead of going head first (and falling). It just cracks me up how he does it. If he even thinks about going down off of something - just anticipates it - he'll automatically get down on his knees and start crawling backwards - no matter how far away from the drop, or stairs, he actually is. Sometimes different textures even fool him - but he figures it's better safe than sorry. Like in other people's houses, sometimes if he's going from hard wood to carpet and it looks like it might be a drop to him, he will get down and back up. The other day at the park there was a little tiny elevation difference between the sand and the side walk. He would be on the side walk, look over at the sand and get down and back up - then be VERY careful about "climbing" back up onto the sidewalk. One time he walked about 40 feet across the blacktop, looked back and saw the sand - and got down on all fours and started backing up - 40 feet away!! I wish I had my camera - I was laughing SO hard. He is just too cute for words :)

I love his face at the end of this video, he likes to be looking away from you and pretend that he can't see you out of the corner of his eye. But if we smile or laugh he cannot keep a straight face (just like his mommy :) )

The Zoo

We all decided to take a day off and take the kids to the zoo - Bradley's first time! It was so much fun, I haven't been there in years. Of course my favorite were the cats - especially the tigers - which are Kevin's favorite too - and what do you know... Tigers were Bradley's favorite too. One was inside so he was behind the glass, pacing back and forth and Mr B would get SO excited when he would turn and come back towards us.They had a new baby giraffe that was very cute too. It was a lot of fun, the weather was perfect and so was the company :)

Sticks!

With the nicer weather, and hanging out outside more often, Bradley has found a new favorite toy - and it's amazing - they seem to be everywhere!! STICKS :) He will go searching for sticks and once he finds them he'll hang on so tight and not let go. If he happens to find another one he finds intriguing, he'll carefully examine the ones he has in his hands to decide which one he should let go in favor of the new one. I'm sure he's sad he doesn't have more hands for this reason :) These pictures are from 2 different days - the first couple we went to City Park to take a walk with the Gilmartin's, then the others are from our backyard.

New Park

When the weather started getting nicer, we went to a new park with Connor, Katie, Dustin and Mom. It's crazy how big it was. We used to go over there all the time to take the dogs to the dog park and to practice softball on the dinky little field. Now it's HUGE and all new and fancy! They even added new benches in the dog run and nice new softball fields. This was the first time Mr Bradley got to hang out with Connor since he'd started walking - so it was a little easier for him to keep up :)They have a nice trail right next to it so we decided to take a walk and found these cool trees that someone carved. It's amazing the detail - this picture doesn't do it justice. It was such a nice little surpise to find!

Birthday Parties

Bradley went to 2 different birthday parties at the beginning of March. The first one was for our friend's twin girls that were born last year on Leap Day. It was the girliest party you can imagine! All the little girls were dressed in little tu-tu's and everything was pink - and for a long time Bradley was the only boy - he sure stuck out like a sore thumb but he sure looked cute, surrounded by all those girls :) I think his favorite part was this party favor he got - it's a bath toy - I mean chew toy :)

Second was baby Addison's party (Kevin's step-brother's daughter). There weren't too many kids there, just a couple. One little boy was there and did not want anyone sitting on his cow (but of course didn't want to sit on it himself) so it caused quite a commotion when all the little kids took turns riding for a little bit - Bradley loved it!

Backing down

Mr Bradley has learned how to back down stairs and off of couches and other things - he's very good at it and was very proud of himself when he learned how :) It's cute because no matter how far he is away from the stairs - if we open that gate and say "Let's go downstairs" he will automatically get on the ground, turn around and start backing up - even if he's 10 feet away from the stairs :) it's SO cute!

Now - the OTHER kind of backing down - like in conversations involving the word "no" - not so good at backing down - kind of stubborn - like his Daddy :)

Visit from the Witters!

Erin and her family came into town on Valentine's Day and we had the pleasure of having them over for 1 night. It was a short stay, unfortunately, but we had so much fun with the time we had. Her little boy Joe Joe is about a week younger than Bradley - so they had a lot of fun together! It was so cute seeing them interact.And her daughter Sadie is just adorable! Erin is quite the photographer and was so nice and took a bunch of pictures of Bradley - here are some of my favorites! Thanks Erin - I LOVE them!!
