Super Bowl

We stayed home and watched the Super Bowl and had a couple people come over. Everyone was routing for the Cardinals but Bill, so everyone (but Bill) was a little dissapointed by the outcome - but it was a great game and we had a lot of fun!

"I said quiet Mindy!"For some reason Mr Bradley was just determined to take a drink out of one of the beer bottles - we had to watch them SO carefully because he kept going after them - maybe it reminded him of his old bottles :) Don't worry - he never actually got any - even though this picture looks like he did... :) (I promise he didn't! :) )

How to take the toy...

Mr Bradley loves to take his toys with him wherever he goes. He used to grab onto objects with one hand and crawl around, and you could hear him on the hardwood floor clicking as he went around the house. He'll take anything he can with him - even his wipes :) He has now figured out a better way, "look mama - no hands!" :)

So Excited!

He was just hamming it up this night - so excited about dancing and yelling :) Later he took his first unassisted step towards Carmel - of course right after I put my camera away! You see how entertaining he is?! :)

How do you use this thing again?

Here's Bradley trying to figure out how to use that fork :) I love the furrowed eyebrows and the look of sheer concentration. He was having the most luck squishing the food and then getting it to his mouth, so now he does that with his finger too - squishes it instead of just pinching it to pick it up... silly boy :)

Which brings me to Mr B's second word - no - not "dog". It was "stay!" I guess I never realized how much we have to tell the dogs to stay on their rug... it must be a lot to be his second word :) He even points his little finger and says it with such authority! It's so funny :)
Here's a lazy version :) usually it sounds a little more like "stay" and the finger is pointing. (Carmel just looks thrilled huh? :) )

First word

Mr Bradley officially said his first word (other than dada and Bradley-made-up words) on January 24th when we went over to Mindy's house to play Wii. And - what do you know? He said "cat" - what a surprise! :) They had a magnet with a picture of a cat on it and he would say it over and over. It's his favorite thing to say and he sure loves his cats. The other day I was working on the computer and he was sleeping - or at least I thought he was - but then all the sudden I hear "cat! cat!", so I got up and went to his room and sure enough, Angel went into his room and he was standing in his crib pointing and saying "cat!" - it was pretty darn cute :)

Favorite things...

So the most inexpensive toy that I have ever gotten for Bradley was this $.25 worm - and of course it's been his favorite from the beginning.

Gurgling?

This was Mr B's favorite sound there for a while - it kind of sounds like he's gurling water or something :) Sometimes it also sounds like he's saying "giggle" :) This video was really long so I shortened it - but it's funny because towards the end of the original video he slowly sits down from his standing position and I am so proud of him becuase he just learned how - my what a long was he's already come :)

We're Baaaack :)

Shame on me! It's been a long time. Here's what's been going on with us. First - Christmas and New Years were a blast. We had so much fun with family and friends. Now - an explanation for my absence :) I will try not to ramble on for hours and hours - when I get on this subject I seem to have a lot on my mind so I can go on and on and on - I will try my best not to do that. Right before Thanksgiving, Kevin finished up a huge remodel project for this man (Martin West - realtor - WARNING - never ever do business with!!) and he is refusing to pay Kevin the last installment check for the work done. This has sent us into a world of hurt financially and we are trying to work through it. We've met with countless lawyers, sent a notice to file a lean on his property, and tried many other routes but so far have come up with nothing. Our only option right now is to lower the amount (about half of what he owes us) and take him to small claims court - which we are even hesitant to do because this man has money, he has lawyers, is very intimidating and stubborn and can drag this on and take this as far as he wants - and we don't have the money, time, or resources that he does. So - every spare second, I have been trying to find other ways to make some extra money to help our situation. I'll let you know when I start making my internet millions :) haha! So, unfortunatley, the blog was put on the back burner for a while. But I don't want to fall too far behind and so much is happening with Mr Bradley that I want to share with everyone, so I'm back :)
