Letters to Santa

Poppy orders most of his Christmas presents from catalogs he gets in the mail. When he was done with all of his he gave them to us to look through. So the kids got super excited and decided to make some lists of their favorite things for Santa Claus :)

Halloween costumes :)

Bradley wanted to be a glow in the dark skeleton, I had high hopes of making it but once again didn't give myself enough time. So I bought him one but it wasn't glow in the dark so I found this cool mask on amazon and it lit up and looked really cool. Gracie wanted to be Prairie from Grandma's house so I looked and looked for fur or fabric that would work but I couldn't find anything, so we ended up doing the next best thing - a pink kitty :) I was super happy with how hers turned out, I made the headband, the gloves and the shirt and leg and arm warmers :) It was cute and super soft. When I asked Sammie what she wanted to be months and months ago she said "a Christmas treat" so I said, "Hmm, like a candy cane?" and she said YES! I kind of thought she would change her mind but she was very stuck on the candy cane idea - which I actually LOVE so much! I had never actually seen a candy cane at Halloween. So I made her dress and actually a headband that she wasn't wearing in these pictures because I think it was uncomfortable. Kolby's I just found on wonderful Amazon and thought he looked adorable, he actually loved the head piece which surprised me, he never tried to take it off :)

It is so much fun to watch them drew their own faces/designs now :) Kolby seemed pretty interested in what they were doing :)

Sammie was a little scary with that little poker thing...

Back to the ranch

Back to the ranch one more time before Grandma takes off for warmer weather :)

On the way there I was prepping Gracie that there was a good chance that Prairie was no longer here because unfortunately a lot of cats don't stay around very long :( Breaks my heart! And, sadly, I was right. This new little kitten helped keep her company though (I wish I could take them all home with me)
