New Years

We had a few people over to celebrate New Years like we always do - fun, food, and games! We all had a blast. Mindy and family were missed because of colds, and JK was missed because of the joys of early pregnancy :) We had a wonderful 2009 and I'm sure 2010 is going to be even better, they seem to be getting better year after year, which I am SO thankful for!! :) This picture was our favorite silly picture :)

Christmas

Christmas morning we opened presents and spent time together before heading over to Mom's. I love this picture because his face looks like the typical child "I got CLOTHES?" face :) Tammy had called the night before with some great news and this was the first day I got to see her as an offical "fiance" :) Several days before I had told Mom that I wanted to go to Kohls to get one last present for Kevin, she said that she would meet me there to keep me company. So I got there and started walking around with her when a familiar face walked by and caught my eye - Uncle Rick!! I had talked to him a while before that and he told me that he just wasn't able to make it out this year for Christmas - and there was no hidding it, I was very upset about it! Well, once again, everyone knew he was coming except for me :) I don't know why it's always me being surprised - probably because I'm the most gulable person ever and will believe anything anyone tells me with no question in my mind... I guess being so trusting isn't always a bad thing right? :) Anyways, I love being surprised like that, so I am not complaining in the least. So, that surprise just made my holiday! I was SO happy to see him because it had been 2 years and he was greatly missed! And he had JUST found out about the baby when I sent him our holiday card a week earlier, so he was still getting used to the fact that I had this big belly. So they surprised me, then we went home and surprised Kevin by having Uncle Rick sneak into the downstairs bathroom, then I asked Kevin to grab the fingernail clippers in the cabinet and he opened the door to find Uncle Rick sitting in there reading a magazine in the dark :) It was pretty funny :) SO we had a great Christmas, like always. I just love getting together and spending time with everyone, playing games, and eating good food. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family.

Christmas Eve

As the family tradition goes, we spent Christmas Eve with Kevin's side of the family. We went over to Travis and Julie's house and had a great time. The kids had fun playing together, I was trying to take knitting lessons from Julie, and of course we had to watch Christmas Vacation :)
Then we came back home, bowled, and read The Night Before Christmas before we all went to bed to await Santa :)

Birthday Party

Bradley's birthday party was a lot of fun, and what a difference a year makes! Last year he was so shy in front of everyone, didn't want to be the center of attention in front of so many people - boy was he the opposite this year :) He was such a show off and such a ham. He got so excited to see everyone and had a blast running around with his friends. He did GREAT at blowing out his candles too, and knew just what to do since he watched Daddy go first :) It's safe to say everyone knows just what Bradley likes - anything to do with balls! He got some great presents, including bowling and softball toys and he LOVES them. Thank you to everyone that came and made that day so special for him - it was a good day!

Happy Birthday Boys!

Kevin and Bradley's birthday was pretty low key this year. I wanted to do something really special for Kevin since it was the big 3-0 and we were going to go down to Denver and go to Dave and Buster's for a night, but we couldn't get people together since December was so hectic - so that was put on hold. Hopefully we will still get there, but it looks like it's going to be months late. So on the actual day we just hung out together (which is always fun), Bradley got a new truck, we went bowling, and Tammy and Craig were nice enough to take us to dinner. And we had Bradley's birthday party the next day. I can't believe my baby boy is 2 already! He is such a big boy. Lately I wish I could have a video camera on him 24/7 - he is learning so many new words and putting sentences together, and surprising me every day with his knowledge and skills. Such an amazing little boy, and such an amazing husband. It's good to be me :)

Bear with me...

I've been debating if I should post stuff that happened months ago (because I'm so behind) or if I should jump to the present - but there are just so many cute pictures that I don't want to skip over, and I kind of use this as an online diary, so I want to document as much as possible... So bear with me while I publish posts about Christmas in March :) Thanks!

Smart little boy

Bradley loves Kevin's new touch phone, and it took me longer to figure it out than it took Bradley! He is so smart, he watches you do one thing, then takes it and knows exactly what to do, exactly how to get into the application he wants (like animal sounds or drawing), he knows how to go back to the previous screen if he wants to do something new, and of course he knows how to call people :) He is so gentle with it and is very good about getting into the programs that he wants and not just messing around with it. One drawback is sometimes he'll put it on silent or airplane mode and I won't be able to get ahold of Kevin the whole time I'm at work and Kevin has no idea that he's not getting calls :)
