So Gracie started solids same time that Bradley did - 6 months old to the day. She took to it MUCH better than Bradley did. She liked it right away, you could tell she was definitely playing around with it in her mouth, trying to figure out what was going on in there, but she went for it. It took Mr B about a month before he would finally really take to it. The only problem with Gracie was (this might be too much info, but oh well :) ) it blocked her up like crazy, poor little thing. So we had to do away with the rice for a little while and just do oatmeal, and I still barely ever do rice. We've come to notice this happened a lot whenever we'd introduce new foods to her. Starting on finger foods and fruits and veggies were the same way. I guess she has kind of a touchy stomach - just like her mama :)

The most wonderful time of the year...
At least it is in the Kerr house! July 4th is what we look forward to all year long. Kevin starts counting down the days starting on July 5th. Bradley seems to have fallen in his footsteps. Right now it is March and he's been asking and asking when he can go see the fireworks. We try to see as many shows as possible. Last year we wanted to make the Rockies show but it was just too expensive and we tried too late so we couldn't find anything available in our budget. We did get to go up to Red Feather to spend time with my Dad and Jan, had a great day up there, but we were just too wiped out to go back for the show that night - so unfortunately we missed that one as well.
But becuase of the rainy weather (which I'm still hearing Kevin fuss about) Loveland's were rained out so we got to see those the next day, so we still got 2 shows in. The rain did kind of put a damper on things. This happened in '09 too, but it was rainy rainy rainy all the way up until we were getting ready to walk to the park, then the skies cleared and we had a beautiful rainbow and a beautiful walk and night at the park. Last year we were not so lucky - it would NOT STOP RAINING!!! It was a little ridiculous and I thought ours would be cancelled (which I NEVER remembering happening in all my 29 years) We ended up driving there at the last minute trying to find a place to park and watch from the truck. We got close enough and realized that maybe we could try to walk a little further to get a better view. So all bundled up in ponchos and umbrellas, we walked and made it to the lake just in time. It was still rainy and a little cold and we were actually closer than I was comfortable with with Gracie and her little baby ears, but she slept through the whole thing and - like always - it was a great show! Loveland's was nice the next night too, but I'm sure partial to City Park :) Now - only about 3 more months to go :)

Daddy
Making a Father's Day gift - a Bradley Kerr original (this is how some of the recovered pictures turned out - with part of the bottom cut off, some are worse than others)
Then we all painted a wooden box and added our hand and foot prints. I was really worried about Gracie keeping her hand open long enough for the print, but I was very happy how it turned out!
Daddy and Bradley workin' in the yard with Bradley's new tools.

So so far behind...
So I think about how far behind I am on this blog EVERYDAY. I don't even know if people still even look at it, but I like to keep it going for my own personal record, if nothing else. So much has happened, and I have so many pictures that the task of getting all caught up is overwhelming! And since it's overwhelming it keeps getting put off longer and longer, which is exactly what I don't want to do - SO I think I might have to very quickly sum up the last
