Building

We are in the building mood lately. Mr Bradley has these wooden blocks, so Kevin and I decided to have a competition of who could make the highest tower of blocks. First try he got 16. My first try I was up to 31 and it still hadn't fallen, so I told Kevin to go stand next to it so I could take a picture. He was holding Mr B, and as soon as he got near enough and looked at me to smile Mr B reached out and down it went - so no one will ever know how far I could have gone :) Kevin's next try he made it to 37 I think, he was very excited - can't you tell :)

Then I discovered Craigslist! I had gotten on there before, posted our townhome for rent and an add for Kerr Construction one time, but never really looked at everything. And now I can't stop!! This was my first purchase - foam building blocks. Here's my first castle (before and after Mr B got to it!)They are SO cute and I was SO SO happy with it I started checking the website numerous times a day to see what other deals I could find :) My main goal was to find a playset for outdoors for Mr B since he just LOVES it outside. Things go SO fast on there that it took me a while to be the first one to jump on one but we got 2 from a couple the other day - so I should be done with Craigslist for a while... should be... but I wonder what they have on there today :)

Anyways - the foam building blocks are so much fun. When we had everyone over for Mother's Day we all had a blast with them, and made a beautiful castle! Then the next day while I was at work Kevin constructed his own model :)Bradley's not allowed to play with them by himself right now because those teeth of his can sure leave some good size bite marks! :)

Park

I think you'll be seeing a lot of pictures of walks, and hikes, and the park - because Mr B just LOVES to be outside (I don't mind it too much either :) )

We went for a walk at City Park. Notice a couple days earlier - he got his first ouchy! Right on his chin, he was over next to the fireplace and he stepped on something and slipped and his chin scraped the side of the bricks - I think I was more upset than he was. Kevin keeps reminding me "It's the first of many" and I keep telling him "That doesn't make me feel any better - it makes me feel worse!" :)

We were trying to feed the ducks at the park, but they didn't seem very interested. We kept having to chase them down :)At least we got Mr B to keep his sunglasses on for about 7 seconds this time - that's a record!! :)

Dancing Baby

Bradley sure loves to dance - and he has some nice moves! He doesn't just bob up and down like before - now he gets his shoulders going, his hips moving, and his legs go in all different directions. Just a couple days ago, we went to visit Grandma and he added a new move - it looks like a person going off a ski jump - kind of hard to explain :) I'll have to try to get it on tape. It's so hard to get anything on tape anymore because Bradley loves to watch his videos on the camera - so as soon as we get out the camera to take pictures or video of him doing something adorable (like always) he stops as soon as he sees the camera and wants to sit down and watch himself on there :) But I'll keep trying :)

Hike

We took a nice hike up to Horsetooth Reservoir when Tammy's friend Craig came into town - he had never been to the mountains and we realized we were neglecting them anyway :) It was a beautiful day. Grady and JK were nice enough to let us borrow their hiking backpack for Bradley - otherwise it would have been a little difficult :) Mr B didn't know what to think of it at first, but I think he really liked it once he got in there. Notice his hands - they stayed on Kevin's shoulders like that almost the whole time - and when they weren't on his shoulders he tucked them inside and it looked like he could barely move :) silly boy :) It was a whole lot of fun and made us all realize a few things - we are really looking forward to the nice weather, and we are pretty out of shape ( I guess maybe I should just speak for myself, but it makes me sound worse if I was the only one having a hard time - so we'll just say "we" since no one else is here to say otherwise :) )

Playin' Ball

Bradley can throw! I think he's been watching us play softball and taking notes :) He concentrates so hard on throwing, he'll take his time to get a good grip on the ball, then winds up, and even leans his whole body and head to the side so he can put as much umph in the throw as possible. It's one of his very favorite things to do - he could go around for hours just throwing the ball and going to get it - all around the house.

I put this video in here because of his shoulder shrugging in the middle - he's been doing that a lot lately and it's just so funny :)

Hugs

Bradley is so good at giving hugs! I think he associates the sound of "Awww" with giving a hug just as much as the actual word "hug" - if he hears anything like an "awww" he'll break out the hugs right away, no matter what it is that's near him - a stuffed animal, a person, a book, anything. He sure loves his friend Saunder though - he gets LOTS of hugs. And, as always, Angel - she probably gets the most :) And of course he loves his Mammy!!I love how he gives hugs too - he's so gentle and sweet, he just leans in, cocks his head to the side and softly lays his cheek on the person (or thing) lucky enough to be getting his lovin' :)
I love this video - and even though it might not look as gentle as normal hugs :) you can tell he's just trying to get as close as possible to Saunder - this went on for a very long time, it was so cute! I love Saunder's face when he looks up at Bradley - trying to figure out what the heck is going on :) He was such a good, sweet baby and just let Mr B give him hug after hug after hug! :)

Easter

As you can see, I'm still running a little behind on my posts. We had a great Easter. We went over to Mindy's house and had a great time with them. I'm sure most of the people who read this blog already know this - but on April 1st we found out we were pregnant again, and then on the 9th I miscarried. It's hard and it's not something I have talked about a lot because I still find it hard to say out loud. Unfortunately, it kind of put a damper on our Easter plans. I wanted to try to dye some eggs with Mr B and try to teach him all about finding eggs, and I even found an Egg Hunt that we were going to go to. But once the miscarriage happened, I spent days in bed and time flew by unexpectedly fast. Before I knew it, Easter was here, and I didn't have any time to do all those things I planned. So I feel bad for Bradley that we really didn't get to have the exact Easter celebration like I had planned - but it was still great. Thanks to my Mommy (and other family) he did get an Easter basket and some cool toys! We had a lot of fun at Mindy's spending time together and consciously thanking Jesus Christ for everything he did (and does) for us. We are blessed and it was a great day.
